After having moved the Comic Strips heroes to TV, The Cartoon Strip 'Largo Winch' for example has moved onto the mobile scene as well. For the moment you can download ringtones, wallpapers, etc... http://live.proximus.be/en/Services/More/MOR_Largo.html With the advent of faster mobile networks, the Comic strips will probably morph into following applications: - personalisation skin for your online mobile avatar - 'mobisodes' or the mobile version of docusoaps ; the cartoon version is well adapted for initial lower bandwith availability(http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/tv_and_radio/4002035.stm )|W|P|112236909562305398|W|P|Mobile Cartoons: Martoons?|W|P|tanguy.delestre@gmail.com7/18/2005 03:57:00 PM|W|P|Tanguy De Lestré|W|P|The German operator T-Mobile stops the "walled-garden" approach for its mobile internet access. This "walled garden" approach is one where only a certain part of approvec sites can be viewed over the mobile phone. For T-mobile this approach does not create enough traffic. The new hompepage will be the Google search engine, in order to indicate this change. The next web and walk concept of T-mobile should create more revenues as users will increase their usage. For the moment there is one telephone Nokia 6680 with Opera Browser. The service will be available in Germany and 5 other EU countries.|W|P|112013990987344480|W|P|Travelling in Europe: Germany t-mobile sidekick|W|P|tanguy.delestre@gmail.com7/11/2005 07:26:00 AM|W|P|Tanguy De Lestré|W|P|The Consultative Comittee of Telecoms from the Belgian regulator IBPT has come out with its yearly report on the status of telecoms in Belgium. Although no exciting beach literature, this provides an interesting look on economical and statistical figures also compared to the rest of Europe. So one can learn that Belgium is in position n0 12 in Mobile penetration, just under the European average. Or that the traffic from fix to mobile network has increased a lot last year (large number of off-net calls) The report is available in Dutch and French: http://www.bipt.be/IBPT/Comitesconsultatifs/rapportsannuelstel_nl.htm|W|P|112229471447490425|W|P|Belgian telecom: statistics|W|P|tanguy.delestre@gmail.com7/11/2005 03:27:00 AM|W|P|Tanguy De Lestré|W|P|Mobistar has launched a pilot project offering its subscribers with an EDGE-enabled handset access to Channel Z as well as national and international news, sports and cultural news included. And, believe it or not, the mobile aspects are tracking me untill the materity! Indeed, it seems that the speed of current mobile telephony (mass-SMS, instant calling) has created unexpected social implications, meaning that a lot of friends and relatives come to visit the newborn, or start calling to . This creates a real jam, as the mother and baby need to rest, and too many people are around. A little booklet from the maternity advises the father to be the responsible 'gate-keeper'. So that's what I'll be doing...|W|P|112186662032230443|W|P|Mobile daddy! baby live!|W|P|tanguy.delestre@gmail.com7/25/2005 02:03:00 PM|W|P|Blogger Tanguy De Lestré|W|P|The camera option on my phone is an interesting feature for sharing this precious moment; the first pictures were shared with the younger sisters and these were proudly showing the phone to everyone.
